SPECIAL FRACTIONALS

At the most basic level of refining, palm oil is fractionated, or split, into liquid palm olein and solid palm stearin at a ratio of 80:20. Further refining and blending may then be carried out to produce different oils with unique physical and chemical properties. Olein and stearin can be fractionated a second time to yield further derivatives: double-fractionated palm olein and stearin.

DAABON Group is executing a plan to add a 5th refinery facilities to its industrial cloister, the project will be completed in the first quarter of 2021.

The new site will bring new capabilities, that would allow the entry into a whole new products area, where saturated fat control is the key functionality. These areas include cocoa butter substitutes (CBE fats), dairy substitute fats, infant formula, among special fractionations for the confectionary sector.
